Animal Psychology Center is now doing group classes and pack socialization sessions once a month in Rapid City when weather permits.
The class provides basic obedience, advanced obedience and social skill training to both the dogs and owners. Through teaching and various activities, the owner learns how the dog thinks, thereby greatly enhancing the communication and the relationship between the dog and owner. Each owner and their dog is evaluated and a working plan is designed for each individual team. Participants are given homework to help reinforce training between sessions.
We also work on and address any problems you may be experiencing with your dog. Every owner works not just with their dog, but every dog in the class. The benefit of this is the is the dog’s social skills are enhanced and the owners become "mini-dog whisperers.” Every dog has something to teach you about your leadership skills.
The group setting is a great way for your dog to learn, as they get to practice around real distractions, and Katherine brings healthy dogs from her pack to help model behavior.
It's also a more affordable way to start, as group classes are cheaper than individual work. Of course, if you find you need additional individual work on certain issues, Katherine is always available.
You can pay for a single session or purchase a bundle to save more. You can join a later session if you are unable to make one of them work for you.
